Watch out for the cotter pins holding the extension together. They can scratch the hood. Previous owner did this. I bend the cotter pins around the shaft.

If your building this from scratch, you might want to consider replacing the hooked section where the rod connects to the chute rotation rod with a universal joint.

I can add some descriptions another time. I need to get some work done tonight.

Thanks @MattA these measurements should get me close and I won't have to bother my uncle, although I'm sure he doesn't mount his blower anymore.
I had to modify the lift bar on My AHSB to get it to clear a bracket on my tractor. And it's 3hrs away.

If you get a chance can you measure the distance between the brackets that hold the screw coil for the chute

It's 3/4" scd40 black pipe. The OD is a perfect fit. I don't know if the OEM used scd80.

I checked mine, it's approximately 1 - 1/16 OD, and the wall thickness is a little more than 1/8", like 5/32.

oem is definately heavier wall than scd 40 . Keep an eye on it . You may need to reinforce the bend . Other than that , it looks good .

According to my measurement OEM is sch80, which is listed as 1.05 OD and 0.154 wall thickness.
