TCV control linkage replacement

I replaced my TCV control linkage at about 100hrs around 7 years ago and now at around 340 hours its shot again. Travel control has been jumpy all summer if not longer. After playing in dirt piles for the last month my travel control seems to have gotten worse. In the past I also replaced what I recall were copper washers on the travel control rods. What do you guys think of the after market options vs the factory option for the travel control rod?

I made my own version of the aftermarket upgraded kit years ago on Frankie and did the same on the 446 Blower project tractor . Both have worked flawlessly . That being said , the OE parts will go years if kept lubed and you are not forcing the lever at the ends and you detent is clean and lubed so as not to put undo load on the linkage .

I've lubed the linkage a few times over the years. At one point I thought of putting a sleeve over the linkage to keep the dirt out.

I am the guy who redesigned the original linkage to one that will last at least one lifetime. It took me a long time to find parts that were discounted when purchased in bulk. Yes, I sell enough of them; I buy the parts in a bag of 100. Then, I had to use what they had in terms of parts and figure out how to do this. I was also the first guy to make a change to the plastic to the oilite bushing for the TCV lever because that is at least half the slop, sometimes.

Those in CA have to pay a lot extra to buy off eBay.

I went to replace my travel inline linkage joint today and I found the inline linkage joint I replaced a few years back isn't worn out. The control rod end is where its worn. I did find the inline linkage joint was rather stiff and lubed it up. The lift circuit inline linkage joint was worn out but working fine. I put the used linkage from the travel circuit in the lift circuit and replaced the travel circuit inline linkage joint with a new one. The control rod will get fixed at some point.
