Just noticed this on my 3pt hitch on the 644
. It's been carrying a heavy box too.

Yikes, I hate when that happens. I’ve been through the same thing on my big case when I was back blading. Pull it off of there lay a weld on it slap it back on, good as new!

Those are not original J26 links . Short 1/2" rigging screws / turnbuckle will work though .
These are original links . That is what is on Frankie .
You are welcome to come see them measure them . If you get some steel and a bit of free time we can make you a set in the shop .
BTW look what PA has on sale .

@DavidBarkey thanks! Not sure I want the original links. The ones I got are adjustable. Not that I ever used the feature. I'll try to fix.
Yeah, I'd really like a middle buster but not at that price, still m

You can see that very little weld actually penetrated the tube, and only on one side.
Grind it out a little and slowly weld it around. Don't want to get it to hot and distort the threads. Will be better than new.

Back in service after a little red paint, mostly applied for rust proofing. One day when I make it bear a Case IH dealership I will buy enough proper paint to last me a long time.
