D-100 backhoe cylinders seal kits

Post by Harry »

I finally tracked down a proper seal kit for my D-100. Bill from Barneveld made the contact for me. LF George located in Waukesha Wisc. is the company and Jamie being the parts person who did the research. 262-542-9400 will get you the company directory. Jamie told me the seal kits are supplied by the original company that made them for the cylinders.
All three cylinders are the same Lantex cylinder. Seal Kit # is H-621037

Just going from memory here... Aren't there different cylinder manufacturers over time for the D-100? I know they're always supposed to be 3 identical units on a given hoe though.

That's not to say the above info isn't right, just something scratching at the back of my memory...

Toolslinger, I would say you are correct about different cylinders being used on the D100. I counted seven cylinders that were used in the manual. One was a Cessna, four were Lantex and two were not specified. Mine was a Lantex and possibly the most common cylinder used on the D100. Most of the part numbers I gave Jamie were NLA and one listed in the manual as a seal kit also had the piston and gland. So I would suggest for anyone in the future that wants to rebuild their cylinder try to figure out which manufacturer made the one you have. Mine has Lantex cast right on the cylinder base.
