Case L-80-70 snow blower

Post by BasketCase »

Does anyone know what tractors the case L80-70 will fit on? It came on my 442 so I know it fits on it.
Was also wondering what they are worth? It’s in real good shape.

If you take another look at the tag it is likely L80-78, the "L" series was built around 1978. It will fit all 200/400 series tractors 1971 and up (snap fast mounting). A little narrow for the 400 series and 200 series models with 10.5" rear tires unless you install the wing kit. Mounts to 3000/4000 series tractors as well but mods are needed to correct the auger rotation.

Thanks Bob I had read something like that on the internet and you have confirmed it! It never seems to snow around here so Iam going to try to sell this one. Wanted to have an idea what it will attach to. Not sure what they are worth though.

What it's worth is hard to say, depends so much on condition, location, and now rare it is. If it doesn't snow much in your area that might be a tough sell, but if you say it's in really good condition, someone might be willing to travel to get it from you. Maybe $200-$350? Hard to say, but you can put in on craigslist at a price that you consider fair and see what inquiries you get. Maybe say you're open to offers as well? You never know really, until you actually do it.

It’s hit or miss around here for snow. It’s been a number of years since we have got any but we have also got 90”s in a season before. But I still have a plow. I was thinking $200-ish. Thanks for all your help!

In the $200 range would be a good price. :peace: Harry
