Dad had one of these that we still used in the early 70's. My brother was returning from spreading about a mile from the barn. He returned to the barn in roadgear and full throttle, like is there any other way for a teenageboy to travel. The drive engagement lever was not properly notched in nuetral. When the lever dropped the drive wheel sprocket exploded. There is a memory of shit hitting the fan when dad found out. The spreader sprocket was never repaired and dad got over it.

The guy I got it from delivered it via the back roads . He is not more that 5 min. by car from me . He pulled it over with his truck but took the drive chain of just for that reason . Apparently this was not his first rodeo.

This thing is between 1951 and 55 , mechanically all still work but as you can see needs all new wood and paint. Tire is I can get them . Can be towed by tractor/atv or horse . Still has the seat . Hope to get some old arena boards for the bottom and some nice oak ect for the sides . I am going to be using here but would like it too look nice . When not in use would make nice lawn ornament.

Maybe load it with candy and pull it in a parade?

You could load the original material for a parade too, but that would be less popular. :O
