Studding lug tires

finished studding the lugs . Only did the long lug so I had studs and rubber depending on the surface condition . Seams to have made a bigg difference . Lost cont on how many in each tire , but close to 200 . Tottal in vestment of $100 to stud both tires .

Huge difference , Seams to be a good balance for me and don't have to change loaded wheels seasonally .

The other day when moving snow the 446 worked flawlessly until I got to the end of the driveway. Then under the snow was ice. When I would lift the blower and the weight would shift to the front tires and the back ag tires would just spin. I would get out and push the GT while putting it in reverse to get traction. I have used chains before but they mark up the driveway. The studs is a good idea but they might mark up the driveway also. What do you guys think?

@Harry So far I don't see marking on the hard surface section I have . As long as your not spinning the tires it should not mark it up . The ones I used are not really big and I left the short lugs rubber only so there is grip in all situations .

I those look like what I put in my John Deere tires. They work great. None have pulled out. And I don’t see any wear on them. I don’t have to worry about marking the driveway
