braised up

after ruffing in with file , used old drill chuck to make nice and round and parallel

like new with a brass bearing area and no more slop

Brazing is something I'd like to know how to do better. Very nice Dave!

Your linkage is worn much more than I have seen before. Was the engine hunting for several years?

That issue, but on some travel control linkages, forced me to invent the travel control linkage that I now make. Two others I know of copied it. One of which claims he created it. And, if that is bad enough, he claims my linkage break. But it is a lie.

My Grasshopper control linkages gave me the idea. The same parts are used; it takes decades before they even start to go bad.

That linkage has sold pretty well. I now buy parts in lots of 100. I customized the parts to make it even better than the first and second versions, which was a few years ago now. I improved the ease of installation; it could be said that it was self-serving since I installed one or a lot myself. I also improved the geometry to be closer to the original linkage.
