Soooo, I am using the computer in the garage, which I use some times on here. So lost every thing, pictures, tractor information, you name it, its gone. All my own fault. Long story, and not in the mood to type all that out. So it will be a while to get back to normal, what ever that is or was ! :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :headbash: :headbash: :headbash:

When it rains it pours. Saturday afternoon I let my son who is 6 play a few games I have on my phone. This was probably the 4th time I've ever let him use it. 10 min later the phone was crashed. Spent a few hours trying to get it to work with Samsung tech support and then it was toast. My new phone arrived in the mail last night. Expensive. I have most backed up but there is a lot of things to set back up.

Fwiw, my phone must have a protective glass screen at all times, and case. I break the protective screen very often, and replace it myself. I should back it up more often though. :109:

I have a history of trashing phones annually. They have been dropped, dropped on, drowned, put through a snow thrower, and lost on the expressway.

Because of that backing up data is high priority. When I started wearing Bluetooth hearing aids a number of years ago my habits changed. Instead of being within reach or in my pocket the phone gets placed on my tool cabinet in a safe spot. I can be up to 50 feet away and stay connected. The price of hearing aids has been offset by cost of replacement phones.

So, have phone sorta working again. All old information is gone. Any way, away we start again. And just don’t keep as much information and pictures of girls in shorts and bikini’s. :D Good thing is have more space now. The 32gb was running at 30 to 31.2 so things wouldn’t work at times. Now running at 10.2 gb. What ever gb’s are.

Well well well, holy cats, jumpins, and I can’t believe it. My son was over last nite and got all the lost pictures and information back on the phone. I have no idea how he did it. Some things look a little different, but everything is there and works. And still only at 13.2 gb. So looks like all good for now. :phew:

A good wake up here. Going to have to get the daughter to help me back up my phone. Nothing in it would be the end of the world to loose, but it would sure be a lot of fun to have to go back and find all the CCI stuff again. @Propane57 I think you're phone is close to full, and this is a warning.

I back my android based phone up on my computer and a usb drive. Simple as plugging in the usb cord and copying over the files. I also keep my files on a memory card inserted into my phone. Unfortunately apple does not have memory card slots in there phones. You can also do cloud based backups (the data is on a server somewhere not in the literal clouds). I also used to have an app that would automatically backup my phones files to my computer using the wireless internet.
