GREAT start
Going through the sa me type thing with my Grandchild, softball is her cup of tea
She's a pitcher 12 years old and 45mph fastball curve ball and a sinker pitch
that has them swinging early,
Her Mom my youngest and her older sister played college ball
they both were good and their good teachers of the game
In my mind sportsmen ship is the best part of what they try to get across to the younger ones
Sure hope your team does great this year

Wow that is fast for a young kid . There is about 20% girls through the league , I like to see more . Growing up girl and boys softball was huge .
Jake our grandson is 14 and in U15/ U17 combination due to lack of players . So he is the smallest on the team , but has the smallest strike zone (he gets walked alot . Also softball . Some of the pictures have been clocked at 98 kph (59 mph) . He was determined to get a good hit in . At one bat he fowled 8 times but then struck out . even the back catcher for the other team gave him a fist pump for hanging in there . It is a lot of fun .
