I’ve been doing that, writing on the sleeve what it fits. And I wrap tape around the belt and put the length on it. Of course today, I need a 84”. I’ve got a 83, a few 82’s, 79, 78, and others. Jumpins.

I try to keep extra belts around too, but naturally when I need one I don’t have the right size! I stared keeping the cardboard sleeve the belts come in and write on it what it fits. Next time I need on I can look at that and know what size I need.
I need to do something like that because every time I need to put the deck or snowcaster on I must try at least three different belts before I find the right one. :headbash:

Great idea with the tape! I'll do that from now on. I'll use painter tape.

I keep the sleeves as well . On customers tractors I know I will service again I write the belt sizes on the bottom of the hood . The tape trick I learned for my belt supplier . There are two ways to measure a belt from the center line how it runs on the pulleys (letter for width and length in "s ,but you need the measuring tool for that . Or the width and length around the out side ( Outside Circumference ) in "s .
