Saw that, nice fireball As I recall it was a 2013, and yah $26,000 for the new battery pack seems a little steep Thought there are some questioning how he treated that car and battery pack. Others with the same model and year, say theirs is still going strong.

Re: Fuel prices.
Have you heard what they are trying to pass in California? The money grubbers are trying to setback sustainable energy by adding a $8.00 surcharge per KW of installed solar panels, so someone with a 10 kw system is looking an $80 dollar a month surcharge So much for leading the way to a better planetMattA wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 4:06 pm States are now going after more efficient vehicles for lost tax revenue. Utah and Oregon implemented a vehicle miles traveled tax on electric vehicles, some state are taxing electric cars extra at registration time and I actually just learned some states are also now taxing hybrid vehicles with additional fees. Really pays to buy a fuel efficient vehicle in some states
Fortunately Massachusetts where I live is not taxing more fuel efficient and electric vehicles. Massachusetts actually has a $2500 EV tax credit for electric vehicles under $50K purchase price in addition to the $7500 federal tax credit. We had a $500 EV charger install credit at one point. Not sure if we still have it.

Re: Fuel prices.
Gas up again on Friday. Now is $1.576 per litre. Diesel $1.73 per litre. I heard gas will be to $2.00 a litre by the summer time. Hopefully not.

Re: Fuel prices.
Things are bad enough right now . If it goes that high it will completely kill the economy and drive us into a resection.
Hopefully not
