The extra drag on the highway from window down will negate any savings . But in town you will save . Remember when AC is off it only cycle when in defrost mode .Propane57 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 10, 2022 9:42 am So to offset using fuel a bit, has gone to London, ON to visit her relatives. That why I stayed home, So I’ll drive her car a bit while she’s gone for a week and a half. 2013 Ford Escape. Gets 24 mpg as compared to my Ford Ranger at 17 mpg.
And just had a thought the other day to shut off the air conditioner in the truck and I did so in the car today too. May not make much difference, because the pumps run a bit any way I think. But maybe not as much if shut off.
Have a good day gentlemen.

Ya Dave. I knew the pump ran but couldn’t remember went until you mentioned the defrost mode. And windows down do cause drag. But I don’t dive that far any way. Car shows fuel milage on the dash. So I’ll see if it changes, just for the heck of it.

Well I spent $4.89USD/gallon last night. $65 to fill my tank. I did get several weeks due to working from home for a few days and getting about 48MPG.

Re: Fuel prices.
Well the Beepin fuel prices dropped a bit today. Gasoline down 10 cents and diesel and oil down 13 cent per litre. Still needs to drop 80 cents or so just to get back to those old all ready to high prices.
And tomorrow is our regular price change day each week. So it could go up 15 cents. Who knows ? But it could go down again.
Beepin prices anyway.
Mini rant today. Not in the mood to ramble.

Gasoline down 6 cents per litre today. Diesel down 3 cents. Not enough. But better than up.
