Thanks  , it's the first Ingersoll I ever bought! She's a little rough around the edges but she's a workhorse. A lot has changed since I first picked it up. Still my go-to mowing and snowblowing machine.

I'd really love to be able to find new hood decals for it. All of the Maple Hunter Decals 4020 sets say "Hydriv" on them unfortunately.

It's a huge deck haha. I leveled the deck front to back this year and it cuts much better than it did last year. I just wish my front tires wouldn't hit the deck when turning! My fault for putting an aggressive tire on it I suppose. :106:

I've seen plenty of RM60 decks with tire rub marks even with the factory tires. The mule drive bushings might need replacing?

That may be the culprit... She's definitely a little sloppy. Good to know it may not be just my tires though!

Always need the hat on when mowing
All the Case tractors I have seen in person so far have been pre 1980. Never seen in person the newer breed marked Ingersoll, they do look great. Thanks for posting, this is a great picture. You even framed it by the rule of thirds.

Tweaked front axles are another common issue, especially the left side. Also worn axle pivot pin.

I'm using the aftermarket axle pin from xetta on ebay. Wish I had done it sooner. My axle pin had very little wear. It was my frame around the axle that was separated.

@dhitching if your replacing your axle pin, do the poor man's power steering mod as well.

I do have the "upgraded" axle pin, but I think my frame is separated a bit at the axle pivot like you said @MattA. I've got the pivot as tight as is reasonable for that size bolt and it didn't seem to fix my axle slop unfortunately. Might have to pull the engine and/or drop the front axle to really get anywhere with that. Poor Man's Power Steering isn't a bad idea, I've mostly just dealt with it, but my 4120 is so so nice to steer in comparison hahaha.

I have used the poor mans steering hack on 444 and what a difference it made. I also did the 644 but haven’t tried it out yet. The 646 is next in line with thrust bearings in hand. Another project to do. :creeper: :peace: Harry

I got the thrust bearings maybe 2 years ago with plans to do the 644, and never got around it :headbash: good reminder, thanks! :D
