Re: Pictures: this moment
My wife's car started making this ratcheting sort of noise at random over the last two weeks. At first it was hard to tell if it was kids in the back seat with electronic toys or the car. Then my wife tells me mid week the noise is happening a lot more and wants me to look at her car. A couple of quick google searches turn up nothing useful. This afternoon I'm converting my youngest daughters car seat from rear facing to forward facing and I hear the noise again. The car is off and all electronic books were off. Then I start cleaning the floor in the driver's area and I hear the noise again. At this point I'm annoyed and I don't think it's the car. I slide the seat up and under the seat is the missing Disney electronic keypad that disappeared months ago. I press the wrench button and it makes that exact ratcheting noise I've been hearing. The same noise my kids have made with the pad so many times before. Glad I fixed the wife's car and solved the mystery of the disappearing pad.

Re: Pictures: this moment
- 150g sourdough
- 400ml water
- 350g white flour
- 350g whole wheat flour
- 14g salt
- 80g sunflower seeds
- 80g seeds
We mix it all in the morning. Let sit for 15 minutes. Stretch and fold. Let sit at room temperature until about 5-6 in the evening. Stretch and fold and form a ball. Let sit again until doubled in volume. Put in oven that was preheated at 500F on stone tray. Cover with big metal bowl and bake at 450F for 40 minutes. Take coverage off and bake another few minutes until brown to liking, turning it around if necessary to brown evenly on all sides. Take out and place on rack covered with kitchen towel. Normally we cut it either after 30 minutes or in the morning. But sometimes we rip it apart and eat some right away.
I can mail you sourdough if you want to start your own. I got mine in the mail from the US, supposed to be from the 1800s. Let me know.

That's hilarious Matt! I bet you were relieved to find it was just a toy making that noise!MattA wrote: ↑Sat Feb 18, 2023 8:31 pm My wife's car started making this ratcheting sort of noise at random over the last two weeks. Yes I was very relieved I didn't have to take the car to the dealer to have it looked at. I've heard plenty of stories about things like flashlights rolling around in cars causing random clunking noises. The toy makes the ratcheting sound twice. Its almost like the car is trying to run some sort of calibration or diagnostic

One rod cap left, the one under the cross section. It's doable.
It's -9C and warming up. Doesn't feel cold at all, I'm not joking.
Working conditions not entirely ideal but could be worse. Good treatment for ocd that snow on tools and stuff.
