@Jancoe Great idea, I love it! Got a swivel seat with a backrest and everything! I bet it took a little bit to putt out to the fishing spot, those things aren’t built for speed! I hope you catch a boatload!

I wasn't too sure the mobility scooter was gonna do the trick but it pulled my gear plus all of my brother in laws gear with myself with ease. Its was a pulling machine once i studded the rear tires. It was given to me a few month ago with bad batteries. No problem there as I have a few small new batteries sitting around. I put it on the ice loaded her up with gear and away i went. I left my brother in law to walk out and I made it out to our spot a few min before him. Sure beats walking. Its not fast but the 3/4 mile spot we were headed too was nice and relaxing. Once I got to the spot and started setting up I was like hey I have a nice seat to sit and fish from. Lol It's 24v and I think I'm gonna bump it to 36v. Will see how the controller handles it. I know the big motor will. Life is fun. Lol

A few eyes a couple of nights ago. The scooter run was a short afternoon trip before the kids were home. Really wanted to stay for some last light walleye action. But picked up some perch, and Bil had huge smallie, pike, perch. Our winter ice has been horrible. Machines were barely able to get on the ice which really limits ice fishing activity on Houghton Lake. Also the ice thickness varied considerably across the lake from 4-10". Now today the north bay here opened back up so I'm sure ice season is a out over. This weather is nice but sure does mess with ya going back and forth. I'm sure it's the same across most northern areas of the states and Southern Canada.ImageImage

Here’s a sign of things to come fellas.
It’s February 20th and our flowers are poking out of the ground. Spring is right around the corner!
