Couple of pictures of what the news is calling “the strawberry moon”. All these years I had no idea every full moon apparently has a name.

That's a really great picture @JSinMO! The second one, with the moon shine on the tractor hood is my favorite.

Now I gotta ask what's the difference between harvest moon and strawberry moon?

Growing up the only Moons that had names were the ones from the skinny dippers . :109:

I didn’t know that either. We were watching a game show on TV and it was a question about the names of full moons. Interesting that was true. :peace: Harry

I would guess it’s the time of year of the full moon. I can remember back when I started driving my friends would drive around and moon people. :O :peace: Harry

Like @Harry said it’s got to be the time of year. Either that or it’s just the whim of whoever names them! They all look the same to me!

Well they are calling for rain tomorrow and I really need to get the grass cut. The problem is I’ve run out of daylight and my zero turn doesn’t have a provision for headlights.

My redneck answer is to mount my two led battery powered shop lights up front!

Not sure what you saw Harry. There is a lot of dead grass in the picture from the heat. I haven’t mowed in awhile and some was thick and some was pretty dry and going dormant. Of course the rain we were supposed to get hasn’t happened yet!

Must be the dead grass. We are getting down pours today on an off. My grass was just starting to brown a little, so now it should green up and of course mow. :peace: Harry
