The birds surprised me!

Post by Harry »

I've had a lot of birds around this spring, mostly Robins. I mowed my lawn today and wanted to hose off my lawn mower so I had to moved my Jeep which was in the way. I started it up and moved it about 50 feet up the driveway. When I was walking back to where the Jeep was parked I seen something laying on the stone driveway. It was a dead bird that appeared had just died. The light bulb went off in my head. The other day I seen a bird jump up on the front tire and disappear. My head was into working on the mowing deck and forgot it happened. I popped the hood up to take a look and found the pic below. Just simply amazing how much stuff this bird stuffed around the master cylinder to make the nest. I don't drive the Jeep much and it had be used the previous week on Thursday so I guess this bird worked quickly.

Keep the Peace
Harry

I can relate Harry, this is what I found at our shed about two weeks ago. Don't know what this bird was thinking, it's very easy access for squirrels. Sadly the nest was on the ground a few days ago.
