Independence Day, a day to remember why we have the freedoms that we have. Many people around the World do not have these freedoms, so take a minute today to remember how lucky we are. America America God shed his Grace on thee.

Re: Happy 4th of July!
My grandson was born on July 4. We always go to my daughters and my son does the grilling. A bit cloudy so it was comfortable.

Re: Happy 4th of July!
My neighbor put on what sounded like an epic fireworks display last night. Meanwhile I'm trying to put exhausted kids to bed while a WW3 style barrage of fireworks is going off outside. This goes in for a good 20 minutes with a few quick pauses to hear the debris raining down on my roof. This morning I get up to literally thousands of pieces of cardboard covering my house and lawn. I spent about 20 minutes filling a 5 gallon bucket several inches deep with plastic caps and large cardboard chunks from the fireworks. The small cardboard pieces will have to get chopped up by my mower and rot. Wish we were out watching the fireworks and not cleaning up the mess downwind.

Thinking that I would dump the 5 gallon bucket on his front porch, but I'm kind of a dick that way........MattA wrote: ↑Sun Jul 07, 2024 9:46 pm My neighbor put on what sounded like an epic fireworks display last night. Just be happy that nothing hot landed on your roof.

Don’t feel like you’re alone Bob, I think I would do that too.
@MattA This is one of the reasons I hope I never wind up with neighbors again. Out here you can hear the fireworks off in the distance but it would dang near take an ICBM to make onto our property!
I hope it’s just a case of your neighbor is a nice guy, just inconsiderate sometimes. If he’s always inconsiderate I don’t think I could stand it. Like Bob said I’m glad nothing hot landed on your house.
