Re: Happy Turkey Day
Yes, Cdn Thanksgiving is in October - and I had enough Turkey to last me until Christmas ... So tomorrow is basically just another Thursday for most of us...
But all the Malls and Big Box stores started getting onboard with the Black Friday sales up here, - trying not to miss out on cross border and online shopping...

Re: Happy Turkey Day
My kids when they were younger asked why their ( ) is different from ours . My answer was that most of the is much more south of us , so their growing season is longer and harvest is later than ours . We give thanks at the end of the season for what the land has given us "Thanksgiving"and say good by to our friends as we go into hibrrrrnation until spring .

Re: Happy Turkey Day
Raised in Oklahoma and living in Ontario, our circle of friends include many families with blended country families. Since 1998 we have celebrated both with 2 other couples. This year is a first, celebrating in Oklahoma yesterday and Illinois on Thanksgiving. @DavidBarkey Your explanation of why Canada celebrities a month earlier is hilarious.
