Crazy thunderstorms

Post by Harry »

In Western New York we have been getting insane thunderstorms lately. They pop up on a nice sunny day. Strange summer weather this summer. Our pumpkin garden is under water. Looks like no pumpkins this year the leaves are all turning yellow. Bummer! :peace: Harry

Harry, we are getting the same here. I have given up on squash this year. Beets and radish is all we will get.

That’s a good observation David. We could be on fire, so it could always be worst. :peace: Harry

We’ve been so dry here the yard crunches when you walk on it. We have a no burn order in place for a month now. We finally started getting some rain in the last few days. I mowed for the first time tonight in 30 days! The poor grass doesn’t know what to do, some of it is brown, some is dead and some of it in shady areas was so thick I could have baled it!
Pop up thunderstorms can be fun, as long as you can get under cover in time!
