Re: The weather
Turned chilly here, didn't help my toes and fingers while replacing the rear brake pads on the truck.

Re: The weather
I tried to clean up the driveways with my walk behind snowblower. I had around a foot of snow that was very wet and it would just bunch up in front of the blower. I used it more like a plow than a blower. I gave up and called my son in law who lives next door. He came over with his skid steer and cleaned up the mess. In the process he created a sledding hill for my grandkids.
I got caught with my pants down with my 446 snow machine. I tired jump starting again with my Jeep and it would not crank. I removed the starter, PITA as it was. Took it to my starter repair shop near by yesterday and he said he would have it for me later in the day. I called him and he said sorry got to busy I will have it for you tomorrow. I called today twice, no answer just left a message. He tested it while I waited yesterday and said there is something grinding inside causing a drag.
I was going to swap a starter off one of my other Onan engines but they all have a solenoid on the starter and the starter on my 446 has a relay up by the battery and I believe the bolt pattern is different. I guess I'll have to wait until he has it ready for me.

Re: The weather
We had a sunny day with temps hovering at 32F. I installed an electric heater in the shop last year I’m really happy with it’s performance in an uninsulated space.
@Harry good the son in law is close with a skid steer! That will give you a little breathing room to get the 446 back up and running. I worked on mine all day trying to be ready for when ever we end up with snow.
It held the temp 30 degrees warmer. Made it downright comfortable working in the the shop today. @Harry good the son in law is close with a skid steer! This is good to know, I'll try this with the diesel heater.JSinMO wrote: ↑Sat Nov 19, 2022 9:06 pm We had a sunny day with temps hovering at 32F. Re: The weather
Holy cats. Was to dark when I got up to see , but when it got a little lighter, I saw this.
Some people would get excited when they saw this.
Noel.
