The 448 was on the battery charger on the overnight. The tractor had not been started for a month so it was given a shot of starter fluid. It took a several attempts and letting the battery recharge a bit before coming to life. The new scroll and rebuilt cutting edge really made a difference. I neglected to tilt the chute deflector up so had issues with not throwing as far as expected. M had finished videoing by the time the deflector angle was changed.

Great video Spike. You got a fair amount of snow.

So I’d like to keep doing it. My father was shovelling snow into his early eighties. Up on the porch roof, at times. I’d like to get that far, but not on the porch roof. Was never good with heights. Dad didn’t seem to mind.

I try to avoid the shovel, you guys stay fit for me too :D

Walk behind on the deck

I still have not needed to use my case ingersoll or the walk behind blower, last snowfall was melting before it stopped snowing, I used a shovel to clear the parking area, good work-out, while shoveling I got to thinking of the shovel I was using, my pops passed away 14 years ago, I use to load the walk behind blower on cargo hitch carrier that I welded up so I could go clear snow for him, this was same shovel he had to clear steps and porches with, funny thing its been used by 4 generations in my family now, just a thought, Kyle

Three days of light snow here totalled up to a couple of inches. :40: Was just enough excuse to get the 448 out for a little exercise. :spin:

Neat story. I still have a snow shovel and scraper that my dad used, 60 years ago. I use to take the scraper to a pond to clear the snow so we could play hockey on it.

Kyle, is it a snow shovel or a regular type? Can you show a picture?

Great story!

Tim, what's your experience without wheel weights? Don't feel the need?

It definitely needs some weight. It's fine for this light stuff where you can use the tractors momentum to plow, otherwise it spins out with any resistance. :112: I was too busy last fall to chase a couple sets of combine weights within reasonable distance to me and now there has been none for sale. Its ok for now with the blower on the other tractor.

If you're bored let me add to your boredom. Clearing snow today with the 444. I'm very satisfied with its performance.
