Hope you feel better Noel. I hear it’s starting to go around. I’m trying to stay away from others and hopefully stay well. :peace: Harry

Definitely something's going around. :wife: got it about 2 weeks ago, then it was my turn, I'm still recovering, still coughing and a little congestion. I told my wife "see honey, it's a good thing God gave you women to give birth to children, otherwise you'd never understand the kind of pain and suffering a man goes through when he gets a cold!"

Winds have subsided . No damage at our place but there are trees down all over .A few inches of snow about 3-4", but still colder than a politicians heart. School buses cancelled again today because the plows were pulled off last night due to poor visibility and would not have the side roads done in time . Went out to tend to the flock and cats . They all were None to impressed with this weather . I think I heard a chicken swear about this clucking weather . :)) -11C/+11F with a "real ffffeal of -20C/-4F . 5 min. and I bailed for the house .

Lots of wind here also. It shredded one of my neighbor's pine trees and scattered limbs all over my front yard. The temperature went from 66F at 2pm yesterday to below freezing at 6 pm. The temperature this morning was 22F with a forecast high near 30F.

February gets an extra day this year, and Mother Nature decides we deserve an extra day of winter - but just for today... Lot's of wind here in the last few days, and woke up to a couple of inches of white fluffy stuff that fell in the early hours of this morning. Can't decide If I should use a shovel, a stiff push broom or just wait 'til tomorrow when it will just melt away - The forecast tomorrow is 9°C (48°F) - I was kinda getting used to the notion of an early spring this year but the roller coaster ride of up and down temps is getting a bit lame :45: .

I’d wait till tomorrow Gerry, to do the snow clean up. And today I’d be down at the Tim hortons spending a hour or two.

@propane1 If it was going to warm up this afternoon I might have left it, probably spent more time throwing salt down than shuffling up and down the sidewalk with the shovel. :snail: It was just the right amount that when people trample it down it would have made a nice skating rink tonight.

:wife: was nice and made me a cuppa tea and a grilled cheese sandwich to warm me up afterwards.

Coffee shops and fast food places are definitely a thing living downtown in a big city. In a five minute walk from our house I can visit 5 different Timmies, a McDonalds, Subway, PizzaPizza, Fish and Chip shop, and a Chinese restaurant - To be honest we don't eat much fast food anymore - the convenience is nice but I'm looking forward to spending more time up north this year enjoying peace and quiet and a lot less fast food litter - it's a 20 minute drive from the property to the nearest general store/gas bar - but they do have a small snack bar that makes the best pizza and hamburgers  - so we are covered if we don't feel like cooking one night :78:
