Ya well I can’t not do it. My father would say, you have to have somewhere to put the next storm.! He worked in the mechanic and snow removal department for the City of Charlottetown all his life. Even though he’s been gone now for 27 years, I just can’t leave the snow. It’s gotta get cleaned up. All snow cleaned up. Some snow was 16” deep. That’s the height of the opening on the thrower. And no break downs, for the first snow removal task. Woo hoo.

We had drizzle and lite sprinkles all day yesterday, with the rain starting about 3:30 pm and ending after 11 pm. Woke up this morning to 31f and about 3" of snow. We don't need to go anywhere so I plan on waiting for the temp to drop and freeze the the snow. It is so much easier on the tractor and blower than trying to blow that wet sticky crap ;) Don't even want to do the hand work because with this snow, any of it you move now has to be moved all the way out to is final resting place for the season before it freezes solid.

I too prefer frozen ground @Gordy . Don't care for the wet snow.

Good job Noel, you can think of this warming up for the real stuff that's coming! :D

I'm looking forward to some real snow coming my way, I didn't put new bearings on that caster for nothing!!! Let it come! :hitsfan:

It’s funny what sticks with us. I find myself saying things and doing things the way my dad did all the time!

That tractor sure looks happy moving some snow!

You got that right Jeff. After I fix something in the garage, I regularly say, thanks dad.

Was going to work in the shop today for a few hours . But light keep flickering , wind is howling and rattling the building . Just to hard to focus as it is these days , this makes it impossible . Tomorrow is another day to try again .

There were wind gusts so strong it ripped the door on the old white tent :cuss: so I had to go put a tarp across, almost took off like with a parachute. :|
