For the Case 224. Seems to have trouble there, :109:

Are all 3 spindles broken away from the deck? I have never seen that on a CCI deck.

Noel, with your braising/welding skill, I'm really surprised you haven't put a new 3/16" plate on top where the old one is broken! :65:

No, not yet spike. But the other two are very close. If the pulley covers had not been on there, it would not have rusted there.

Not a simple job to get the deck apart. Apparently. :106:
But that whole section that is/was under the pulley covers is mostly gone. So the whole section needs to be done. Winter fun maybe. It should have been last winters fun, but no, I didn’t do it. :106: :42: :D :45:

Save those spindle assemblies. The cast iron housings are compatible with a lot of case ingersoll decks except for the 60" decks. Some case ingersoll decks had cast aluminum housings that pitted and in some cases could crack. I replaced the aluminum housings in my early RM48 deck with cast iron housings from a case deck.

I'm not sure if the spindles are cast iron or steel but you guys get the idea
