I guess it’s my turn to have one of those days

Post by JSinMO »

Well this was one of those days, electronic edition. Went up to the shop this morning turned on the radio and the smoke came out. Didn’t make me happy, but it was second hand and well past it’s sell by date so it happens. Oh well I need to take the electric power washer down to the house and wash down the back porch anyway. Get everything set up and wash for maybe 20 minutes. What the heck I’m losing pressure. Look over at the washer just about the time it quits running and sure enough the smoke has been released! That’s when it dawns on me, this may be one of those days, better tread lightly. The washer was probably 4 or 5 years old and a low cost model but dang it hasn’t been used that much.

I finished up washing with the hose and a broom. Well I guess I’ll plug a box fan in and dry things off. Nope! What in the #?&@! As soon as I turn the fan on I trip a breaker. The outlet and fan didn’t get wet out anything. So I make sure the power is off and start looking. The outlet looks like it’s full of dirt. No idea why. So I left the power off to that circuit for the night. Have to get a new outlet tomorrow. With that I quit for the day. Got my wife in the car and said let’s get out of here and go out to dinner. Not taking a chance on running kitchen appliances today!

At least no tractors were harmed in todays shenanigans.
And there is my aggravating day ramble. Thanks for listening I know you all understand!

Mud dauber wasps lay eggs in small hole and cap with mud . I have to keep all extension cords not in use plugged into to itself and all exterior outlets with water proof cover on them around here because of them . Constantly finding recessed screw holes in stuff outside with the hole filled with these things . :cuss:

Hope you had a pleasant dinner with the wife with no mishaps. I would have probably spilled something on a good shirt and have to hear the :wife: complain!

I hear you Jeff, one of those days. When things like that happen to me I like to think that I'm being given a chance to avoid something worse. Dinner with your wife sounds like a wise decision no matter what! :)

LOL it’s very common for me to end wearing part of my dinner and hearing all about it!

We have small villages around us with the big towns about an hour away. They just opened a new pub 2 towns over, so we tried it. I had a big ribeye with potato and salad, that put me back in a good mood! And no food on my shirt, so all ended well!
