We had the first of our Bantam roosters for supper last night . 10 months old at time of butchering . Many people said only good for soup . But I marinaded him for 4 days before freezing then 250 for 5 hours . Meat fell off the bone and quite tender . I could not beleave how dark the meat was . I guess having a 1/4 acre to range during the day must do that . Lots of flavour , not a lot of meat as they smaller birds but enough for the 3 of us and no waist .

Re: Rooster for supper
Can't beat the flavour of real free range birds right?! Very cool!
