We have 4 lifts at work for lifting any heavy duty chassis. 18k lbs each. The lift uses the same idea you have built. They work great. Our lifts have a spring loaded pin to hold the adjustable arms in place. I'm sure you could drill a few holes in the tubing at 1" intervals and use a pin to lock the adjustable arm from sliding. That way you can adjust to fit different wheels. As long as the opening between the lift arms are smaller than the wheel diameter you don't have to worry about anything falling through.

I have them drilled for the most common tires I have on hand and plan on using some sort of pin set up to hold them .

The rolling bench is 35" tall . Lots of room to drop a deck on to it an roll out from underneath for service ect.
Still some fine tuning to do , but works . Next step to see how the adapters handle Frankie at 2175 lbs with loader and blower on him . I know the hoist can do 8000 lbs easy (rated for 9000 lbs)

Jumpins that looks great Dave. Lots of room to get at every thing. And having the rolling table is good. I have one of those tables.
Now if you want to take a wheel off. What do you do ? Must have a stand or something to under and drop hoist a bit ?

I have 4 axle stands if needed . When it it is difficult to "jack up " a lawn mower I can lift like this and then set on stands .

Beleave it or not I have actually done that on purpose . We did it to pull the whole rolling frame out from a parts car then lowered the body onto a trailer said good bye .
