I have a digital version of the same tool. Very very handy when you need it.

Great suggestions - I had seen the magnetic dial type before, that digital "ruler" style is new to me...
Both would be good additions to my toolbox and probably speed up/simplify some of my CAD (Cardboard Aided Design) sessions.

I have the same one . It been used so much over the years the magnets are all but worn out . Doesn't stick very good anymore . Not bad for being about 30 years old .

@RoamingGnome Gerry, I prefer Auto CAD, Using a cardboard template transferred to a piece of car door before making the final part from stronger material.

@Spike188 - Thanks for suggesting the upgrade to Auto Cad.
I'm sure it would make sturdy, robust templates and be good for production work... For now I'm probably safer sticking with old school cardboard. 
I was using a zip cut today to open up the holes for the headlights on my 222 hood. Judging by the slice on my fingertip after I found a little burr

That's a tool I don't have and have been thinking of getting. I'd like to avoid a digital one so I don't worry about the battery, as I don't really care about a tenth of a degree precision.
