Was in the dollar store today and saw this. I had wanted something like this for a while.

Hehe, sadly the days when everything was a dollar or less in dollar stores are long gone. Now most items are $4. But this key tag set was $2 CAD which is about 1.50 USD.

Naaaa... You just end up with what I inherited... A 3" ring of 50 keys you carry around and learn patience while you just try them all...
Still have the 3" ring, but gotten it down to about 7 or 8 keys now by replacing padlocks, and rekeying doors. All the equipment keys now stay in the equipment since they're just universal keys that everyone has a copy of anyway, and there are no kids around my place... Probably time for a smaller ring.

Yep, key reduction In the past my padlocks had #'s engraved on them and their keys for ease of finding the key, I then replaced them with the Master 4 roller combination locks and set them all to the same combo. At mom's I replaced the house, garage and pole shed locksets with the smart locks so one key works them all, and rekeying can be done in 2 minutes or less with a simple slide in tool and the original and new key. I use 3 of the same locksets here and to save another key on the ring mom's key works here, until now I am the only one that knows that

Fortunatly, my house in NJ (now sold), the farm, and my girlfiend's place all have Schlage locksets. I bought a re-key setup, and set them all to the same thing. I'd like to do my uncle's place across the street too, but unfortunatly, he set his place up with all Quickset blank locks. Still, it's only 2 keys to have to worry about for all the main buildings in my life. Even managed to find a Schlage core for an old Seco surface mount lock on my gristmill (talk about a well made lock, that thing is still in immaculate condition after 50 years, showing no sign of any wear internally)
