Moving dirt

It's ground engaging time. Seeds, manure, soil, and everything that goes with them. But that's not all. Cutting and hauling wood, chainsaws and the works!

That rear blade of yours is a very neat device!

P.S. Spike, for the YouTube video you only need to use the code after the last / you don't need the whole address url.

Trying to hold the camera, control the three point, hold the speed control and stear was near imposible. If M would have been home there could have been more and better footage.

This one was taken several years ago.

Dreams are born while playing in the dirt. The original idea was to belt drive a pump off of the grader axle to control the lift backin the days before Case on the place. There are several tractors in the boneyard here so here is the dream today. Remove the old Roper rear axle and replace it with a 400 series rear end. The rear end would be mounted with a weight box on top of it and driven through the PTO lines.

First the backhoe prodject needs to be finished.

This was taken by M, she rotated the cell phone during this segment. It was edited to correct the 90 degree rotation. The 448 is not capable of gradeing on a 180 degree incline.

This might have been the first time using the blade.

  working great Spike. I'm still impressed with the amount of material your carrying up the hill. You couldn't do that with a front blade.
Our driveway comes uphill too, and keeping it crowned to get the water off is key to keeping it from washing out.
Four years ago I put down limestone screenings. They packed to a concrete like surface. Could use a grading now and a little top coat next year, but it hasn't been touched in four years.
:highfive: Tim
:446cart: let's go, it's finally time to blow. :peace:
