Aged hydraulic hoses

Well, one of my hydraulic hoses is leaking and I was wondering if you guys think it might be a good time to change them all to avoid more problems. The hoses are original to my knowledge and the GT is a 1979. Also the soft one that connects to the cooling rad is the leaking one and the system is now...

Re: Messing around in the shop

With a fan from a range hood you could drive the GT and cook at the same time. :coffee: :122:

Pretty good substitution for the replacement Dave, that's a clever idea!

Re: Garage Hoist / Spreader bar

That's so neat and tidy. Really must give you great satisfaction of building the structure. I can't see if you have wheeled carts under the heavy stuff, but would be a back saver for sure. Outstanding results!

TDL89 thanks for posting the pics, nice to see what others have for attachments. They look nice. Ingersoll224 your sleeve hitch looks homemade, did you also fab that one? Looks like the sides were made from 1/4" material, if so how does it stand up for use? The pattern in the library s...

Re: Fixing the 222 (aka "Maxine")

Nice installation, outcome looks great. I like how you ran the wires down the side because with the hood closed there's not much room between the cooling fins and the grill. Thanks for sharing with the pics.

Re: A/C GT for Dad

Dave, she's a sturdy looking machine, from what little bit of research I did on the web the are very capable. When you first got it running what was your impression as to the mechanical condition and driveability?
