Re: R84 snowcaster

Harry, the auger sprocket is 47 tooth. I once tried to figure the formula out as I thought about changing the size while mine was torn down. I don't think I found the size I wanted so I didn't change mine. Mine wasn't in bad shape so I opted not to. One thing I noticed was the replacement sprocket h...

Re: Snow, @$)($@“&!?;

I'm glad the forecast is calling for a day above freezing here in a day or two. We've had snow for the last few days sticking to the ground. Ugh. Still too much outside work to do here and the snow isn't helping. I still need to find time to remove the hydro vac and mower deck. Time for the snow cas...

Re: Sheetmetal brake

That's a very handy brake. I have the same one. I've made some modifications to mine and can handle some thicker material.

Re: Helm pump

My 6018 ps cylinder is I believe the same as the 648. They are 1.25 rod I do recall. Would have to check stroke length but guessing around 6".

Re: Helm pump

Looks like a nice upgrade for it. I do wonder how to size the cylinder to it so you're not having to have alot of rotations lock to lock? Are you going to use the boat steering wheel? Lol looks like you can handle a 28" wheel. That would cut down on lock to lock rotations. Lol Sent from my SM-S...

Re: Gas guage..

Same Harry, every time I use my 4020 I have to top it off so I can mow the lawn. Half tank doesn't do it. I'd run out before I finished. I'd like to get a battery operated fuel transfer pump. Harbor freight had a cheap one I'm gonna buy and try out.

Re: other brand deck spindles

Bob - I've done some research on this. I'm on vacation right now. I'll post some info when I can. Tim pointed out that OEM mulching kits popped up on ebay. I made an offer for $200 and it was accepted. https://www.ebay.com/itm/125908471633?hash=item1d50bacf51:g:WkcAAOSwyDBkS~BR&amdata=enc%3AAQA...

Re: JIC hydraulic fitting.

Patience pays off. I too like to run and get the part so I can keep going, but now I've realized I can order a part for much much less than the local store and wait an extra day. I have so many projects going on that I just move focus to another part. Lol
