Re: 4118 major PM
You are doing well Tim. I still am not done with my 4118. Getting closer each time I work on it! With a flood in the house, and my 92 year old Father-in-law having a stroke and dying in mid and late summer, it hasn't given much time to work on the tractor. 646-75lbh Restoration -Spike!
Spike my cousin has a 6018 loader tractor that the steering went nutso yesterday. I wonder if he could call you or some one else on this board about your restoration (experience with the banana plate and mechanism).
If you send PM phone number I will get it to him.

Re: 60" Mower Decks
Go for it Tim! I personally wouldn't want one of the oldest LH throw decks, but soon after they changed the design of the mounting hardware and that has been a good deck! I also have a 60" RH throw I am in the process of rebuilding and will form my opinion of it as soon as I try it out!

[/quote] Unfortunately its a show too far for me too. I think it would be around 3000 Kilometers round trip for me. Worried when I got to the border Canada might not let me in and the US might not take me back! Well I have had the pleasure of being escorted across the border going both ways! At diff...

4118 major PM/refurbishing
Hey Tim, Good going and good luck to you on this project. After about the 8th repaint on the rear fenders, it appears as though I have no runs in the paint, and the clear coat looks good! I may finish mine by the end of August!!!!!!! In December I will have owned this thing for 5 years, and been res...

Re: I promised a Studebaker Avanti a few months back
The Studebaker Avanti was only produced for the 1963 and 1964 model year. Production on the Avanti stopped when Studebaker ceased Automobile production in South Bend, Indiana. That left only the factory in Ontario to produce cars, and that was in effect the "Lark" with the "Harmon&quo...
