Re: Stearing axle pin

The second pic has our latest updated pin with grease channels. https://www.caseingersolltractors.com/product-page/axle-pin-upgrade-kit-for-case-ingersoll-tractors Nice pin - always wondered about why groves were not a part of the original design. Grease is really only as good as being able to reta...

Re: EZ clutches

If your pulley is not very worn some have used thin layer of Loctite or JB Weld type products, as long as bearings are new/good it should not take much friction/resistance to have the path of choice for rotation turn to the bearings as least resistance. Most the time we just clean the face of the f...

Re: Building a snow cab

Measured the front metal gauge @ 0.085 inches (13 gauge?) I took a long look at your fab pics . I noticed that you have moved the cab front way forward! I also noticed you have a standard ONAN engine (B43-48M). If you leave the cab that far forward you will fill the cab with exhaust fumes (even tho...

Re: 🎂 Happy Birthday

Hope your day was special in some way Eugen. At my age I hate to see the count going up but the day that you stop having birthdays sucks I hear.

Best wishes,

Bob

Re: New member introduction

Hello Ryan, Does look like a 1976 production year as you've mentioned. Looks to be a survivor and can be made into a nice working tractor or collector's piece with little work. First thing I would do is get those big washers on the bottom side of the motor mount cushions where they belong. Good luck...

Re: Generator Light

If grounding the "F" terminal after the no-charge indication and there was no change, there is a problem with the generator. Sounds like it works sometimes and then not.

I think that I would return it to the rebuilder for testing.

Re: Messing around in the shop

[ One thing you mentioned caught my attention, you stated "There are no points and the coil is 12 volt." I know you also said it was still a 6 volt system and has not been converted. Remember, I'm far from an expert but is it possible that you don't have enough voltage to power a 12 volt ...

Re: Generator Light

I didn’t test voltage at the F terminal. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk I don't usually bother to check voltage at the "F" terminal. The regulator varies the resistance between the "F" terminal (field winding) and ground. Open and there is no charge, zero resistance= full char...

Re: Messing around in the shop

Excellent points fellas! Thank you :highfive: This is my first Ford and electronic ignition as well. Not that that’s a bad thing! I am learning! Of course somethings are universal but as you know old things have their own nuances and quirks! So I don’t have a compression tester on hand but doing th...

Re: Hydraulic hookup for small backhoe

I think this is the section I should post in. Guys, I have a tiny backhoe that came off the smallest excavator I have ever seen. (It was a SS16 by Kobelco) I have fabbed up all the mounts to put it on my 646, but the hydraulic feed from my PTO is way too much pressure, I think. It is super jerky, t...
