End result is there was grease ! the grease quantity was very lacking! These bearing probably had less grease than all o...

Re: EZ clutches
Here is a copy of the original engineering drawing for the C15557 (and also C15556) shim washers, notice that they do not carry the dimensions out to the 3rd decimal as the size is not that critical.

Re: Allis Chalmers B-112
Looks very nice! I remember mowing for a guy my dad worked for when I was in my teens, he had two Allis tractors, I think a B-10 and a B-112. Their decks do mow quite well.

Re: Late model 4020ps NYC Area $2000
Late model 4020PS would be correct for that model and have that engine given the hood decals, one of the last of that model. Not to be confused with the later 4021PS and 4023PS models which would have the Vanguard engines.FreddyFont wrote: ↑Mon Feb 12, 2024 9:32 pm Is it just me or the late models did not have that engine?

Re: Stearing axle pin
The upgraded axle pin and poor man's power steering were probably the best upgrades I did on my tractor. The axle pin made such a huge difference. Wish I had spent the $50 sooner. The axle pin could have been a little shorter to take even more play out of the steering but the pin is probably sized ...

Re: Stearing axle pin
Also, I'm not sure that everyone knows that you should jack up the front of the tractor before greasing to give a better chance for the lubricant to be distributed equally. With the weight of the tractor on the center pin and spindles, there is little chance of grease getting to the bottom.
