6018 LQA Install

In the effort of equally patronizing both forums, and for anyone who isn't also active on the CCI forum, here's a quick summary / update on the LQA conversion for my 6018 that I mentioned in my intro thread here. Started with purchasing an early 6018 https://i.imgur.com/lJSl3zOl.jpeg Picked up a 644...

Re: Intro

The old forum has some warnings about using non all hydraulic tractor hydraulic attachments with the all hydraulic tractors. Basically the higher flow rate turns the attachments faster. AH tractors also have a higher hydraulic relief pressure. Definitely. You can overspeed things like the wood chip...

Re: Intro

That 4020 sounds like a beast with that GX670 engine. I'd keep the 4020 over the 4120. The 4100 series all hydraulic tractors can only transfer so much power through the hydraulic system. I'm not sure of the exact amount but it's less than your GX670. The 4120 also has no belt driven PTO to run you...

Re: Intro

@Harry thanks, I recognize you from CCI. I started an intro thread here to not clog the for sale post too much... I fear it may be a bit too late for that though

Re: the way we roll

I'm also curious... With how small my roller is and how heavy my 4020 is, I figure if the lawn is soft enough for my roller to doing anything then the 4020 must be making larger ruts than the roller can flatten!

Admittedly I haven't done the ground pressure calcs...

:))

I claim no biases one way or another hahaha. One thing I have to say about this forum is that the red and yellow stand out a bit more on my screen at work than black does! :writing:

Re: Wheels and tires, snowcaster, hydraulic mower deck and PTO

I think it shows attached on my end. The quote in my comment there is from the post I made in the service manual directory. If you click the "up" arrow it should take you there. Here's a direct link. viewtopic.php?p=16530#p16530
