Re: Needs a project??
I think Dan used to have a website for the tractor build. 30BKuxw-jiE I had the pleasure of driving the tractor at that show with the powered dump cart attached. Dan's fabrication skills are unmatched. I know he posted the tractor for sale on Craigslist several times, I wonder if he still has it? A...

Re: Carb question
I do somewhere have an updated procedure for main fuel adjustment on the DD carbs, question is can I find it? The recommended way sometime after the service manual specs requires adjustment under load at a specified rpm. This might be right or wrong, but as I remember you set the throttle to say 300...

Re: Snow caster
I just started installing my SB48 snow caster and noticed that there are two sets of holes on the idler arm /pully bracket on top of each other. Just wondering what the other set of holes are for. Mine are set on the top holes and I have a 21/32" x 82" belt that is very hard to put on. Lo...

Re: Carb question
The carburetor float on my Case 446 B43M Onan engine is made of a strange material. Some things I’ve seen mentioned in where ever you find information on these Carburetors is that most say to use a brass float. What is the difference between these two floats and why should you use a brass float. ? ...

Re: Snow Caster Belt Tension and Specs
So what I ran into with my new to me J serries caster is that the H & J casters 6.5" drive pulley use belt C23950 on 400 serries tractors. 81.625" belt length. The rest of the casters K-S and the SB's 6" drive pulley used on 400/4000 serries tractors use belt C23539. 80.5" b...

Re: Snow Caster Belt Tension and Specs
Ok... So the caster worked great, until it chewed up the belt... I put another that I had on hand from my previous 38" caster. I'm suspicious of it... It's in great shape, and it has possibly 1 hour on it if that. However the spring tensioner has almost no additional room to take up slack when...

Re: Well you don't see this every day...
So safe to say the only similarities as far as parts interchange to the 3000/4000 machines are the seat, battery and fuel tank cap? Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk That would pretty well sum it up. The low end models used dual hydros with roller chain final drive, the heavier duty models used ...
