Re: Loader Build

...why make it detachable when you're this serious about a loader? Great question. It did take a lot of extra thinking and work to go the detachable route. But I only have room for a single tractor, and its primary job will always be "lawnmower." So I didn't want to make my lawnmower perm...

Re: Loader Build

I'll try to make it a point to go through and do that. It's not too hard to pull a pictorial write-up out of videos. But it's impossible to go the other way!

Re: Loader Build

Working on video part 4 now (loader structure build) Here's a sneek peak for all you insiders: Final steps will be hydraulics hookup (valve, lines, and reservoir mods if necessary) and after that modifying the attachments (bucket and forks) to fit the detachable adapter on the front of the loader. M...

Re: Mower deck modification

You're right, that's what I posted. but I was responding to the post at the bottom of page 1, where it wasn't clear yet what direction you were going. As soon as I hit "submit" it took me to the end of the discussion, with your nice picture of turning the housing in the lathe. I thought it...

Re: New lathe

Very nice looking, and congrats! You'll find this larger size and addtional features really handy, I'm sure.

I've long since moved on from my Atlas 6" lathe, but it's what got me started, and I'll always have happy memories of it.

Re: Snagged a 1977 444 Close to home

Since the last post I finished painting the rear wheels and installed them, along with the fronts back on the tractor. The steering linkages were installed again for good now. I put the dash decal on as well. Tonight I put the decals on the hood and tossed it on for a pic. Looks pretty good. Still ...

Re: Loader Build

I've almost finished part one and am enjoying it. Your attention to detail and the ability to explain it all is quite astounding. One question, What is the reason for using the bronze bushing? - are they superior in this application to other solutions? Great question! Of the available options (bare...
