Re: Generator Light
I didn’t test voltage at the F terminal. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk I don't usually bother to check voltage at the "F" terminal. The regulator varies the resistance between the "F" terminal (field winding) and ground. Open and there is no charge, zero resistance= full char...

Re: Messing around in the shop
Excellent points fellas! Thank you :highfive: This is my first Ford and electronic ignition as well. Not that that’s a bad thing! I am learning! Of course somethings are universal but as you know old things have their own nuances and quirks! So I don’t have a compression tester on hand but doing th...

Re: Hydraulic hookup for small backhoe
I think this is the section I should post in. Guys, I have a tiny backhoe that came off the smallest excavator I have ever seen. (It was a SS16 by Kobelco) I have fabbed up all the mounts to put it on my 646, but the hydraulic feed from my PTO is way too much pressure, I think. It is super jerky, t...

They've been around for a long time, Italian manufacture if I remember correctly. I think that they were owned by and parts available from Briggs and Stratton.

Re: Pictures: this moment
This batch of parts are for the 2N Ford to see if I can get it to start easier in cold weather. I’d really like to use it and the 446 for winter duty instead of having to get my Case 830 out. The 830 does a good job but it’s big and heavy. I got it stuck one winter and had a bear of a time getting ...

Re: Robber edge for snow blades
30 or so years ago when I sold a tractor/cab/blade combination to a company that had the snow removal contract for the Federal Building in Chicago, that was one of the requirements as the entire plaza at that address is marble. At the time poly or rubber edges were not that common, I ended up sourci...

Re: Case tractor question.
Did the 18HP Onan simply not exist as long as the 16HP Onan? Would be nice if the Kohler Command fit in the 3000/4000 series tractors. Correct, 446 production began with the 1973 model year and the 18 hp 448 was not introduced until 1980. Bob When did the 20HP Onan enter production? The P220G Onan ...

Re: Case tractor question.
A little off topic, but I don't think a new tread is required. Bob, correct me if I'm wrong, but the motors for 200 and 400 series have been obsolete for some time. Did Ingersol find new motors for the 4000 series? Did they go back to the separate spline shaft in transaxle with external motor coupl...

Re: Case tractor question.
I don't know what is the most popular CCI GT . But in my limited experience the "446" seams to be the most talked about . I think in has to do with the sear volume of 446's built over the years as a posed to other models . Our resident dealers would have better knowledge on that than I . ...
