Now you've gone and done it... You're going to have to tell us about your post hole setup.

Re: headlights wiring

You will want a battery ground if you use LED lights. They do not work well when they are grounded to just the hood which has to then jump across the rusty hinge. I'd go further and say you want a ground no matter what, if you want the lights to work. That rusty hinge pin is going to be an issue ei...

Re: headlights wiring

I can say that on my 444 it runs along the right side of the frame more or less. It tucks inside the sheetmetal as it reachs the front, and then up toward the lights. I ended up running mine inside some 1/4" poly tube after the second time it got pinched, and shorted. Not a problem with that si...

Re: Cutting clear acrylic (plexiglass) sheets

Had anyone asked me if that would work, I would have for sure said no... I will have to look in to that. Traditional plastic cutting blades tend to be high tooth count, low hook angle, with a triple chip grind tooth that has been tweaked a little. Thin bodies help as well. Basically you want to avoi...

Re: The weather

Yea, when it's ice, forget it. I might venture from the house to the barn once the ice stops coming, but no chance I'd get on a road. We've got today to go before it breaks here. I got up, and ready to get out the door, and then looked at the temp... 12F. As a result my foray outdoors wasn't very lo...

Re: The Fluids Debate

I had never thought about UTF in the Case fleet. That's interesting for sure. It works just fine and dandy in my bigger machines all year here in PA. The 90 weight in the 8n absolutely sucks in the winter since it's a common sump for the hydraulics, and the rear. Waiting on the 3 point to lift the b...

Re: The weather

3" of powder at home this morning at 3am when I headed to work. Almost 3 hours later, and 96 miles, I got to work. Probably 3" here, and seemed like powder too. Checked outside around 2:30 this afternoon, and now, we've had some freezing drizzle, or rain, and everything is ice, and a compl...

Re: Creating a narative?

I usually type to the point I want a photo, and upload it. Then hit the "place inline" button. Click below the inserted photo, and type the next bit. Lather rinse repeat.

There's a total upload size limit per post, so you might want to keep track, and break it in to multiples.

Re: Those little rodents

That's a pretty neat idea. As an outdoor item, I get the compressed gas choice. I imagine it could be re-engineered to use a solenoid for indoor use to reduce the ongoing expense.
