Re: Painting procedures

I think we all need refreshers no matter how long we have been "trying".

Re: Shout OUT!

Thanks for establishing this site. It met a need at a very turbulent time created on the other site and has provided some great information for several of us. And has created a special Comradery between the posters!

Re: Woke up again this morning

Don't kick yourself for having the phone turned off. Once she passed it was no longer an emergency. My father-in-law died in September. We were going to go back to the nursing home to be sure everything was set up for his 92nd birthday party the next day. About an hour before we had planned to be th...

Re: Something I didn’t know. !

Diesel oil doesn't work well in an engine that has been slushed up. Bought a 1961 Dodge with slant 6 engine. My dad was dumping Series 3 diesel in everything, new or used. This was probably in late 70's, and we needed a cheap car. Within a short while the engine blew. Pulled it apart and the sludge ...

Yeh! Both of mine have been bound up for years. I usually try to clean them prior to winter and spray silicone grease on them. That seems help till I turn them on!

Re: 4118 major PM

I had the rear axle, front axle, and frame totally apart, plus all the rest. One of these days soon I need to get back at it. I think I have had the tractor for 5 years this month. I removed the hood, fenders, and wheels within a week of getting it home. And I am still not done! LOL!

Re: 4118 major PM

You are doing well Tim. I still am not done with my 4118. Getting closer each time I work on it! With a flood in the house, and my 92 year old Father-in-law having a stroke and dying in mid and late summer, it hasn't given much time to work on the tractor. It has given me time over the last year to ...
