Re: Vanguard 12.5HP/14HP/16HP/18HP carburetor cleaning
@ the one on the left in the first pic is looking lean . I read somewhere that the Kohler and B&S twins have a lean bank and that the jet on one side is a half size larger and not to get them mixed up when redoing the 2 barrel carbs . Yes the 21HP and 23HP engines had 2 barrel carbs with two di...

Re: Vanguard 12.5HP/14HP/16HP/18HP carburetor cleaning

I know they are long life but that doesn't mean they can't go bad . Spark plug colour . What does it say ? Maybe more than one thi...

I tried adjusting the carb a bit. I left it a tad richer. Towards the end of the carb adjstment procedure, there is a ...

Re: Painting hood on 444
Sorry to see the paint job ruined. This is what I used to paint my deck 7 years ago. Looked great but the paints been flaking down to the metal for years especially when I wash the deck with the hose set to stream. Maybe the rustoleum primer is also crap? I wiped the deck down with isopropyl alcohol...

Re: Pictures: this moment
Bought it  At some point I'll start work on a mount to the mule drive. Both linear actuators work. The bucket dump actuator has a clutch when it hits the end of its range. The lift probably does but I can't test that without the actuator mounted on both ends. The bucket is actually small e...

Re: Oil Filter Examination
Is the material magnetic ? or not David the larger flakes were magnetic. The magnet had trouble picking up the very small pieces. Not sure if the small pieces are aluminum or just embedded into the filter media. Magnet material could be pretty much anything but the engine block. I did use a decentl...
