Re: The weather
My Berco's 44". Its wide enough. I believe you can get wings for it like our snowcasters. My SB48 snowcaster with wings tends to steer the tractor when I'm only blowing on one side of the blower. The berco not being as wide doesn't seem to do this. Another option you case guys have are the MTD ...

Re: Long drive home
I've seen some Kubota owners with a snowblower on the front and a blade on the 3 point. I think in some cases it's a good idea for scraping the driveway. In other cases the owner is just showing off like the one I saw the other day with ten 42lb suitcase weights on the blade. It's also a 10' long ri...

Re: The weather
We haven't had much snow so far this year. Last night we got 5-6" of heavy wet snow. Probably more than all other storms combined. I had an issue with the snowcaster sort if rattling/vibrating as I pushed it. I made a quick attempt to raise the blower by lowering the Berco skid shoes but it did...

Kind of like owning a newer Ingersoll tractor... Vanguard engines are metric... except the clutch bolt and flywheel stub shaft bolts are SAE.RoamingGnome wrote: ↑Sun Feb 09, 2025 6:50 pm Or having metric fasteners on the body of a machine and SAE ones on the engine...![]()

Re: The weather
I had a set of Bridgestone blizzak snow tires on a small sedan years ago. They were great. I wouldn't even shovel the car out. If it actually snowed a lot consistantly where I live, I'd get another set.
Several days in the mid 40's here. Snow in the lawn is gone.

Re: 7 foot snow banks
Time for a Berco. I do see Berco's listed inexpensively online without the mule drive. You could fab your own... I've got one if you need pics... Another option I've seen is a hydraulic powered snowcaster on a 600/6000 series loader with the LQA bracket. Might have some pics somewhere... my brother ...

Re: The weather
Were back to winter here too. About 20F drop day and night here. Supposed to be 5-6F overnight several days this week... which should register more like 0F at my house. We got about 4" of snow last night. My Vanguard fired right up after sleeping for at least a good month thanks to DavidBarkey ...

Re: The weather
We missed out again. Got rain for several hours and its finally just changed over to snow. Expected to stop in a few hours. Could get a few inches? Probably not worth getting the 4016 out but it's been sitting a while and could use some gas run through the carb.

Re: Another quick snowthrower modification.
I like this approach. Its basically a smaller snowblower shoot adapted to the snowcaster with a bit of a taper to it. I believe @Jancoe built one. I think I have pictures I can look for another time.
