Re: Oil Filter Examination
Is the material magnetic ? or not David the larger flakes were magnetic. The magnet had trouble picking up the very small pieces. Not sure if the small pieces are aluminum or just embedded into the filter media. Magnet material could be pretty much anything but the engine block. I did use a decentl...

Re: 444 deal or no deal
See if the mowing deck has the steel spindle housings or the cast aluminum housings which corrode. The steel housings fetch about $50 each.

Oil Filter Examination
About a month ago I changed the oil on my wifes 2015 sonata with 1.6L turbo 168K miles, my 2017 sonata with 2L hybrid 118K miles and my Ingersoll 4016 with vanguard engine with just over 300 hours in that order. After draining out the oil pan, I found some fine metal shavings. Enough to cover my fin...

Re: Johnny Bucket
I don’t have any experience with one of these but it’s a really neat set up. I can see where it would be handy around the house. And I think you’re right you could adapt your mount fairing easily. I looked around the web a little and the only downside that stuck out at me is a 250 pound lift capaci...

Johnny Bucket
For a while I've wanted a Johnny Bucket for my tractor. I've seen a few forsale in the $400 range but never bought one. I put out an add about a month ago on CL and got a local hit the other night. Like new Johnny Bucket with no tractor adapter bracket or wiring harness for $300. I reached out to Jo...

Re: Pictures: this moment
My dethatcher doesn't work all that great when I'm not towing it behind my aerator at the same time because its designed for a box store ride on mower with a hitch about 3" lower. 20240423_122949.jpg This causes the tines to be up off the ground. 20240423_123015.jpg So I thought I would try fli...

Re: Vanguard 12.5HP/14HP/16HP/18HP carburetor cleaning
Briggs can be very finicky and a pain. They to start they are extremely under fueled and run borderline lean when in good shape and from new.... It takes very little to make them unhappy as far as dirt and or bad fuel/water etc. We have most parts in stock including new OEM carbs, pumps, gaskets et...

Re: Vanguard 12.5HP/14HP/16HP/18HP carburetor cleaning

Are you removeing the jets to clean them and the passage ways ?image.png This picture shows the exploded diagram .
