Re: Year and model. ?

Not easy to see, but I think there is some type of a front weight bracket mounted as well. Is it near you Noel?

Re: Year and model. ?

1980-1983 448 (hood scoop model). I would guess closer to 1983 as it has the translucent fuel tank with the windows in the rear panel to see the fuel level, earlier models had the black plastic tank. Hard to go wrong at that price given the attachments. 4 D10 weights, hydraulic pto, sleeve hitch and...

Re: Case 446 hydraulics

Lots of mods to this tractor by the pics. The tee is where a flow control would normally dump the excess back into the system, that line could be replaced with the standard version.

Re: Case 224 splits wood.

Sure beats splitting by hand. Does your splitter return on its own? No, it does not Matt. That would be a nice feature to have. Noel Not knowing what valve your splitter has, I don't know if it can be modified to accomplish this. However, you could replace it with an inexpensive valve that has a de...

Re: Case 646 Poor Condition, Whats it Worth

@MattA The 648 had a dual pump head. One pump was for the power stearing and the other for travel, loader, and attachements. The dual section pump was not introduced until the 6000 series, the 648 has simply a larger pump to allow for the additional demand of the power steering. Not the best soluti...

Re: Case 646 Poor Condition, Whats it Worth

I can't give very accurate information on the spot, but I can tell you the the K321 and K341 blocks are entirely different, the K341 has a much higher crankshaft height for example. Not sure how it compares to the CCKA. Nothing is impossible, given enough time and effort. I would suggest that the pt...

Re: Case 646 Poor Condition, Whats it Worth

In the Midwest the 646's come up fairly often in the $2500-5000 range depending on condition but ready to go to work. All depends if you are looking for a running tractor or a project to inject your love into over the course of a couple of years. I can only comment on my own situation and it would b...

Re: New to the Case world - 446

There is a Kohler part number for these mufflers, they were used on the early Kohler powered Cub Cadets.

Re: New to the Case world - 446

Yes, a mounting for a pre-snap fast deck. '69-70 200/400 or 150 to 195 you get the idea. Not for this 446.
