Re: GT junkyard videos
It tells me that I made a good choice when I bought my 446 new in 1978. That decision might have been caused by the new Case SC tractor my father bought in 1954.

Re: The weather
Lots of wind here also. It shredded one of my neighbor's pine trees and scattered limbs all over my front yard. The temperature went from 66F at 2pm yesterday to below freezing at 6 pm. The temperature this morning was 22F with a forecast high near 30F.

Re: How many years you got with Case tractors?!
I bought my 1978 446 new in the spring of '78 so it has been mowing my acre of grass for 43 years.

Re: diy "plastic " bushings
Just for reference, Grainger sells 5/8" ID by 1" OD UHMW tubing. That would probably be less work to slice it to length but more expensive to purchase.

Try Fasteners Warehouse. They might have something that would work.

Re: Tire bead breaking tool
I have done a few rims using a Bessey style clamp to roll the bead away from the rim and a nail bar to force the bead off of the rim. It's hardly professional equipment but it works. A ratchet strap and the air compressor will work to pop the bead back into place.

Re: Need an expert!
Smith Automotive in Webster is supposed to be good at finish painting. It might be worth a trip to their shop to see what they have to say about your project. I have not used them myself, but one of my customers from Williamson did and was happy with their work.

Re: LGD Lift
I have done that using my Kubota B7500 loader to lift the front of my 446 a few times but using a slightly different procedure. I use chains to connect both sides of the 446 front axle to the loader bucket and lift from above so that the loader bucket isn't in the way when working on the 446 mower d...

Re: Invalid form when logging in
I couldn't log in for a while around midday from my phone, but seems normal now. :106: thought it was probably my phone, then got busy for while. Worked when I came back. Must have been the little green men messing with us. :124: I had a similar problem about the same time trying to log from my com...
