Re: Messing around in the shop

Raining the last few days so while paint was drying on the GT hood in the shop I worked in the lean to. When I switched the shop over to LED lights I purchased three lights for the lean to which is attached to the back of the shop building. I ran a power line from breaker box through the wall to a b...

Re: Painting hood on 444

Getting close to the end of this long project of painting the hood. I just need to lightly wet sand with 600 grit paper then apply a couple layers of clear. Here are two pics where I am currently. Black and flambeau grill. :peace: Harry

Re: 444 deal or no deal

I have a 444,446,644,646 and a 226. I’m thinking of selling the 226 which was given to me, it has some issues. Then possibly find a 448. I know a guy who has one that is ready to go, I’m just not willing to pay what he wants for it. :peace: Harry

Re: garden prep

20240426_125548.jpg Last row , My new high tech alignment sights worked really well . Nice straight even spacing . A little tape and a few wood stakes pushed into ground . Line up your sights and just knock them over at the end of the rows. David the garden looks terrific. Necessity is the Mother o...

Re: Case 224 ready to cut grass

Yes they are a pain to get on. Sometimes I put a little silicone grease on the inside of the hose which helps. Noel I like the tread design of your 224. :peace: Harry

Re: Anybody have experience with old Gensets?

I don't know who knows this or doesn't . When dealing with any engine that has sat for long time . Especially splash lube. Before trying to start as all the oil will have drained away to the bottom and may have condensation in the bottom of pan . 1- pull spark plug and put a little light oil in top...

Re: Case 446 Tractor Snowblower $3,500 Sault Ste. Marie

Looks like a nice snow machine GT. I like that it’s painted white on the inside. A bit pricey but if I was going to sell mine I would probably be asking around the same price. LOL. :peace: Harry

Re: Anybody have experience with old Gensets?

I had a HF generator that died during a 7 day power outage. I quickly purchased a new one to get through the outage then later took the generator off the engine. The engine ran terrific but the stator was fried. I ordered a new one which had to come from China which took almost a year to receive. Th...

Painting hood on 444

I primed the hood last week, wet sanded with 400 grit. Today I painted with desert sand first coat. A work in progress for sure. :peace: Harry
