Re: garden prep
20240426_125548.jpg Last row , My new high tech alignment sights worked really well . Nice straight even spacing . A little tape and a few wood stakes pushed into ground . Line up your sights and just knock them over at the end of the rows. David the garden looks terrific. Necessity is the Mother o...

Re: Case 224 ready to cut grass
Yes they are a pain to get on. Sometimes I put a little silicone grease on the inside of the hose which helps. Noel I like the tread design of your 224. Harry

Re: Anybody have experience with old Gensets?
I don't know who knows this or doesn't . When dealing with any engine that has sat for long time . Especially splash lube. Before trying to start as all the oil will have drained away to the bottom and may have condensation in the bottom of pan . 1- pull spark plug and put a little light oil in top...

Re: Case 446 Tractor Snowblower $3,500 Sault Ste. Marie
Looks like a nice snow machine GT. I like that it’s painted white on the inside. A bit pricey but if I was going to sell mine I would probably be asking around the same price. LOL. Harry

Re: Anybody have experience with old Gensets?
I had a HF generator that died during a 7 day power outage. I quickly purchased a new one to get through the outage then later took the generator off the engine. The engine ran terrific but the stator was fried. I ordered a new one which had to come from China which took almost a year to receive. Th...

Painting hood on 444
I primed the hood last week, wet sanded with 400 grit. Today I painted with desert sand first coat. A work in progress for sure. Harry

GT junkyard videos
I watched a few junkyard videos today. Some of these yards are huge. The narrator of the video mentions which brand if GT your looking at. Cub Cadets, John Deere, Simplicity, Gravely and on and on. Not once did I ever hear the name Case or Ingersoll. The one yard had a couple of Cases that were runn...

Re: Mowing time soon
I cut the grass for the first time on Tuesday. Then it rained on Wednesday and Thursday. I left some muddy tracks in the back yard near my shop because I had to drive through water. I never got stuck or had the tires spinning throwing mud everywhere. I hope to get some sunshine over the weekend to d...

Re: Did the 446 just dodge a bullet?
I picked up at the curb a Poulan chainsaw that looked brand new. It was seized and because it appeared to be pristine I figured someone didn’t use oil in the gas. I managed to break loose the piston and it ran fine but when cutting the saw had no power under load. I gave it to a young man who was al...
